Nowadays, the zeros on the roulette wheel are not coloured black or red anymore but green. The Latin American and European roulette wheels are the most popular in the casino because in some countries like Monte Carlo, Deauville, San Remo, London have only single zero that only means that the edge of the casino is quiet reasonable.
There are two types of European roulette, the “En Prison” rule that has retain the old game- if the ball lands on zero and if your bet was even the bet is remain and the result is determined on the next spin. If the ball lands on zero twice the bet that has been retained is lost. And there is also the “La partage” rule that simply return half of the player’s bet when a zero comes up.
In the North America and the Caribbean, there are double zeros just like the original French roulette game in which all bets (except a direct bet on the selected zero) are lost when either zero turns up on the wheel. This increase the odds of the casino and lowering the advantage of the players. Must be the reason why in this region roulette game is the third most played casino game and the most popular are Craps and Blackjack.
